About Us
Our Church is a member of the Baptist Union of Great Britain and more locally the London Baptist Association.  Baptist Churches are based on the biblical example of church and therefore each member of the church is fully involved in all aspects of church life. 

 
Particular people are appointed to special areas of ministry and work.  We have a minister, two elders, a church secretary, a church treasurer, a team of deacons, a project manager, and a community care worker.  In addition to this many of our members are involved in the day to day running of the Community Family Project which has been based at New Addington Baptist Church since 1999. 

Our Minister 
 
Rev Charlie Keenan joined us in 2004 having trained at Spurgeon's College.  Her role is to lead the church spiritually through teaching and preaching of the Word, and through prayerful discernment of God's will for our ministry in New Addington.  Charlie is also our Community Minister in that she is fully involved and active within our Community Family Project. This means that you will always find her door open at the church for all members of the community (unless she is out visiting!).  Charlie works full-time alongside our Project Manager and Church Secretary, Vic Overton.
 
Rev Charlie is available for counselling especially with regard to mental health issues and bereavement.  She is happy to come to see you at home or hospital if you are particularly sick and if you would like prayers of healing or comfort.  Please make appointments for this through the church office.       
 
 
Church and Community Family Project Treasurer  
 
Jo Brown joined the team as treasurer in January 2008.  She has been a member of the church for several years involved with various areas of ministry including being a deacon and a youth worker.  She is now a full-time (voluntary) worker in the office and works alongside Vic and Charlie as Church Treasurer and CFP Treasurer.  If you would like to make a hall booking or find out more about giving towards the important work of CFP, please contact Jo.  She will always be happy to make an appointment to chat with you.  Call Jo in the church office on 01689 800291.   
 
 
Church Secretary & Project Manager 
 
Vic Overton is a full-time (voluntary) worker at New Addington Baptist Church.  He uses his previously gained professional skills to co-ordinate the day to day running of the Community Family Project. In addition to this, he is the Church Secretary which is both an administrative and pastoral role within the diaconate.  It has often been said by visitors to our church that 'every church should have a Vic'.  Vic works in the office alongside Charlie and also has an 'open door' policy for all members of the community.   
 
Vic is available to meet with you for prayer and counselling with regard to a number of life situations.  Please make appointments for this through the church office.
